If you haven’t tried Talenti gelato you HAVE to try it at least once. I absolutely love it! It can be a bit pricy for a pint, but if you’re able to catch it on sale like I did last week, it’s definitely worth a try. I couldn’t pass up buy one get one free, so I decided to get the Mediterranean Mint and Caramel Cookie Crunch flavors. I’ve previously tried Mediterranean Mint, but I wanted to try a new flavor. I know some of you are probably wondering what’s the difference between ice cream and gelato? 🍦 Well, have no fear. I’ve done a little research for you. Generally, the process of making gelato is different from ice cream. Gelato also has more air than ice cream and contains more milk rather than cream which is why it has less fat.
For those of us health nuts, Talenti reassures us about the quality of their ingredients with this statement from their website, “We start with fresh milk, straight from the farm, and fine, pure cane sugar–absolutely never high-fructose corn syrup. We hand-pour the sugar from large sacks, blend in the milk and add the finest ingredients sourced from all around the world to craft our 33 flavors of gelato and sorbetto.” Additionally, all of the dairy products used in Talenti are sourced from humane farms where the cows are not treated with antibiotics or artificial growth hormones, including rBGH. Talenti even offers gluten-free, kosher, and vegetarian options. One of my favorite things about the Talenti brand is that they package their gelato in clear, recyclable, BPA-free jars. ♻️ The containers are even sturdy enough to reuse as storage for almost anything you can think of. Be aware they are not dishwasher or microwave safe. Needless to say, this naturalista has given the Talenti brand her seal of approval. ✅
